Pink Autos introduced in Gurgaon for Safety of Women

Date:

TNI Bureau: The government has taken initiatives to provide safety for women in Gurgaon after the Delhi gangrape that shocked the entire nation. The pink autos are back again, which are exclusively meant for women.

The Pink autos are equipped with special features like a panic button and GPS system so that police will be aware of the area where the crime is taking place.

The service is not new to the city. It was introduced earlier in 2010 but discontinued after getting no good response. However, this time, police said that the service will provide safety for women in the city.

The service started from MG Road Metro Station. It will be increased after getting positive response. Initially, 22 autos have been registered and all the drivers will go through verification.
