TNI Bureau: Surmeet Kaur Sawhney from Mumbai became the first female contestant to bag the jackpot of Rs 5 crore on the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). She is a homemaker, who answered all the questions on the sixth season of the show.
Earlier, Bihar’s Sushil Kumar was the first contestant to win Rs 5 crore on the fifth season of the show, which is hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan and aired on Sony Entertainment Television India. Later, Manoj Kumar Raina from Srinagar had won Rs 1 crore on KBC’s sixth season.
