Rapists’ Photos, Names to be posted Online

Date:

TNI Bureau: As part of the initiatives to control sexual assault against women, the government has decided to post the photos, names and addresses of the rapists online on the website of the National Crime Records Bureau in a few months.

Junior Home Minister RPN Singh said that the initiative will be taken to prevent the growing rape cases in the national capital. The government will take all the possible measures against the rapists, he assured.

He said that the same idea will be adopted by all the states to make the details of the rapists available on police’s website for public access.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old para-medical student, who was brutally beaten up with an iron rod and then gangraped by six on December 16 night, is still critical at Mount Elizabeth hospital in Singapore. She was flown to Singapore after a team of doctors advised the government.
