US softens Stand on Gujarat CM Narendra Modi

TNI Bureau: Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is certainly a great motivator, as the developed countries are impressed by his personality and his developmental policies. After United Kingdom, the US has softened its stand on the leader saying, the country has good relations with Gujarat.

Speaking to a news channel recently, the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Robert Blake said that Modi is free to apply for US Visa.

Earlier, the UK had announced to end boycott with Gujarat aiming at establishing good ties with the state. Modi, who had faced strong criticism for his alleged role in 2002 Gujarat riots, the UK had boycotted its relations with the state.
