To ensure faster and easier ticket-booking, the Indian Railway is planning to revamp Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website and IRCTC mobile App with a mechanism to send SMS alerts to passengers about arrival and departure of trains.

With the help of ISRO, the new features will be added to inform travellers on exact location of the train by using satellites.
