BJP Leader Dharmu Gond passes away
Former Umerkote MLA and BJP leader Dharmu Gond passes away this evening at a private hospital. He was admitted at Seven Hills Hospital, Vizag, Andhra Pradesh on Sunday following a paralysis attack. The political leader had been receiving intensive medical care in the neighbouring state. He was 47.
The tribal leader was born in a predominately tribal backward region village named Ekamba in Jharigam Block of Nabarangpur District.
The law graduate began his political career as a Zilla Parishad Member in 2002. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly in 2004 by defeating former Minister and Congress heavy weight Parma Pujari.
Mr. Gond is survived by his wife, two daughters and only son.
