TNI Bureau: China’s Wen Xia Yu won the title of Miss World 2012 at the gala beauty pageant held in Ordos, China, while Miss Wales Sophie Elizabeth Moulds and Miss Australia Jessica Michelle Kahawaty placed in second and third respectively.

Miss China won the Miss World Crown beating 116 candidates participated in the beauty contest.

However, Miss India Vanya Mishra failed to win the crown. She made it to the top seven. She bagged two titles – Beauty with a Purpose and Social Media Award at the event.

Around a billion people across the world watched the event when last year Miss World Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela crowned the winner yesterday.

The participants were in the town from past one month to show their talents.
