Hours before meeting his Indian counterpart Dr. Manmohan Singh, Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif has created a stir by calling the former as a ‘Dehati Aurat’ or ‘village woman’ for going to US President Barack Obama to complain against him. Sharif made the statement while meeting journalists from India and Pakistan, including Hamid Mir of Pakistan and Barkha Dutt of NDTV on a breakfast.

Both Prime Ministers are scheduled to meet in New York today on the sidelines of UN General Assembly. The Indian PM had slammed Pakistan in his speech at the UN and asked that country to stop the terror machinery on its soil and accept the fact that Kashmir remains an integral part of India.

Meanwhile, BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has slammed Sharif while speaking at the Delhi rally and accused the Congress Party and Rahul Gandhi of degrading the PM’s position on global arena.
