Tremors in Delhi, 5-Year-Old Girl Brutally Raped

Date:

The nation was shamed and shocked yet again, as a five-year-old girl was brutally raped inside a locked room for two days. The girl was shifted to the AIIMS in a critical condition. She is struggling for life. The doctors have said that they have never seen such brutality before. A candle and a bottle were found inserted into her private parts, which were mutilated.

Adding insult to injury, an ACP shamelessly beat up a girl protester, leaving her bleeding from the ear. He also pushed away another girl. The ACP Bani Singh Ahlawat was put under suspension after the issue was taken up by the media.

The Aam Aadmi Party supporters have gathered outside the AIIMS and police station, demanding justice and arrest of the accused. The girl was kidnapped from her home in Gandhinagar in East Delhi two days ago. The police reportedly did not cooperate with the parents and even offered the girl’s father a bribe of Rs 2,000 to keep quiet. A neighbour is the main suspect.

The girl was first admitted to Swami Dayanand Hospital, but later shifted to the AIIMS after her condition deteriorated. A big question mark has been raised over the law and order situation in Delhi following the incident. Nothing has been changed in the national capital even after the ‘Nirbhaya’ case. The anti-rape law failed to create any impact on the rapists. Seems death penalty for the rapists is the only way out.

The Congress Core Group led by Sonia Gandhi has gone into huddle after the latest brutality triggered outrage across the coubtry.
