BSE Sensex crashed 617 points or 1.08 per cent to end at 56,580, while NSE Nifty 50 was down 218 points or 1.27 per cent to settle at 16953. 

The BSE Sensex index fell over 470 points to 56,711 and the Nifty 50 index was down at 17,007 in the early trade on Monday.

Cryptocurrencies traded in the red on April 23, 2022. The global crypto market cap stands at $1.84 trillion which is a 1.82% fall over the previous day. The total crypto market volume over the last 24 hours is $80.67 billion, a 24.14% decrease. The total volume DeFi is currently $10.87 billion, a 13.47% of the total 24-hour volume in crypto market.

BSE Sensex closed at 57,197.15, down 714.53 points or 1.23 per cent while the Nifty 50 closed at 17,171.95, down 220.65 points or 1.27 per cent.
