Delhi Gangrape Accused Ram Singh commits Suicide
Ram Singh, the prime accused in the Delhi gangrape case, which shocked the entire world, committed suicide inside the Tihar Jail at around 5 AM today. His body was found hanging himself using his clothes. Ram Singh was facing 13 charges on accounts of rape, abduction and murder.
Ram Singh was driving the bus, in which the 23-year-old paramedical student was raped by six men on December 16. The victim later succumbed to her injured at a Singapore hospital.
There was a fear that Ram Singh could commit suicide, as he was reportedly under depression. He was under the supervision of jail authorities. It’s surprising that he dodged everyone and committed suicide. Ram Singh’s lawyer refuted the claims that the former was under depression.
The Tihar Jail authorities have ordered a magisterial probe into the incident. The Union Home Ministry has sought a detailed report on Ram Singh’s death.
