Vishwaroopam – A Complete Review
TNI Bureau: Vishwaroopam is an outstanding movie where it is hard to find whether Kamal Hasan is comparatively superior as a director or as an actor. Neither the film contains any point of controversy nor has the sentiment of anybody been hurt in the movie. The film is one of the finest creations by Kamal Hassan and everybody should take a chance to watch the film for its quality, message and exclusivity though it has very less about entertainment.
The story – The film revolves around Vishwanath Wiz aka Taufique aka Kashmiri (played by Kamal Haasan), a Kathak exponent and Nirupama, his wife, a nuclear researcher. Nirupama gets her PhD and Vishwanath runs his dance class in New Jersey unrestricted by each other. The Kathak trainer is surrounded by girls including Andrea Jeremiah. This makes Dr Nirupama (Pooja Kumar) to doubt on her hubby’s character who hires a detective to know the truth. But the detective gets killed by Al-Qaeda group.
The Al-Qaeda is planning to plant a Nuclear Bomb in New York and Kamal Hassan is well-aware of it in lieu of his earlier connection with the terrorist group, which is headed by Omar (Rahul Bose).
At her work place, Nirupama has been facing problem from a colleague Deepak. Later it is revealed that Deepak is associated with a terror gang led by Omar bhai (Rahul Bose). On the other hand, the detective finds that Vishwanath is actually a Muslim and not Hindu. He also finds some connections of him with Terrorist Omar. The climax of the film is excellent which should not be revealed here to keep intact the entertainment of the audience.
Kamal Hassan has again proved that he is the actor unalienable. His legendary aptitude very well reflects in his three roles in the film. The film is for class and for mass as well. Kamal is outstanding in all the three roles. While he entertains with his comedy as the dance teacher, the actor provides a balanced performance in the role of the Terrorist.
Pooja Kumar is good as kamal’s wife. There are several excellent scenes and out of that especially the Army attacks scene in the first half is exceptional. Besides Kumar, Rahul Bose, Jaideep, Shekar Kapoor and Nassar are also brilliant in their roles. Rahul has done a wonderful job as Terrorist Omar.
Even, from technical point of view the film is an excellent one. Cinematography by Sanu Varghese is substantial. Shankar Ehsaan Loy’s music best fits the sequences. Art department in the film has also done a fine job. Editing by Mahesh Narayan could be slightly better.
The film must be watched for its excellence and virginity. It does not hurt anybody’s sentiment if watched in the eye of an impartial and rational film lover.
