TNI Bureau: When the entire nation is in grief and crying for a stringent punishment for the rapists after the brutal gang rape of 23-year-old Para-medical student in the nation capital, a teacher and peon of a school in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh have been arrested following allegations that they had been raping minor girls at the hostel.

The tribal girls, between the ages of eight and twelve and numbering at least 11, had reportedly complained repeatedly of the alleged sexual assaults but police said they came to know about the abuse only on Saturday.

The assaults allegedly happened till August. Peon Dina Nath (23) would reportedly take the girls to his room and then rape them along with teacher Mannu Ram (24) in the Narharpur based government-run residential school.

Medical reports have confirmed that four of the 11 girls, all of them minors, were rapped.

The state government has initiated a high-level probe into the case.
