Firebrand Congress leader and Jeypore MLA Taraprasad Bahinipati has been appointed as the Chief Whip of the Congress Party in Odisha Assembly. Chiranjib Biswal will be the Deputy Leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) in the Odisha Assembly.

In addition, the AICC has also appointed Dabugam MLA Bhujabala Majhi as the Secretary of the CLP. It can be recalled that Narasingha Mishra was elected the Leader of the Opposition in Odisha Assembly earlier.
