1) Britain’s Finance Minister George Osborne and Foreign Secretary William Hague arrived in India on a two-day trip. Osborne hailed Modi for giving a big boost to the investor sentiments.

2) The Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has taken control of Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd and its subsidiary TV18 Broadcast Ltd. HDFC chairman Deepak Parekh has been appointed as an independent Director, while company’s founder Raghav Bahl has been appointed as the Non-Executive Director.

3) Former President Pratibha Patil’s brother Gajendra Narayan Patil, has been named as an accused in the murder of Vishram Patil in September 2005. Gajendra Narayan Patil is a top Congress leader from Jalgaon.
