TNI Bureau: Rajesh Power Services, a Gujarat-based company, has secured a Rs 211.68 crore contract from Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) for a major power transmission project in Odisha.
The contract involves the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 220 kV single-circuit underground cable transmission line connecting the 400/220/132/33 kV Grid Sub-Station at Mendhasal with the 220/132/33 kV GIS Grid Sub-Station at Chandaka-B.
The project also includes the extension of one 220 kV AIS bay at GSS Mendhasal and one 220 kV GIS bay at Chandaka-B. The contract has been awarded on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis and is scheduled to be completed within 24 months.
Following the announcement, shares of Rajesh Power Services rose 2.72 per cent to Rs 872. The company provides consultancy and power infrastructure services to state transmission and distribution utilities, private power companies and industrial clients.
For FY26, the company reported a 48.2 per cent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 143.20 crore, while revenue from operations grew 51.9 per cent to Rs 1,627.94 crore compared to the previous financial year.
