TNI Bureau: BJD leader and 2024 Aska Lok Sabha candidate Ranjita Sahu has expressed deep sorrow over the reported suicide of a woman in Chadhiapada village under Mardakote Panchayat in Kabisuryanagar constituency, allegedly linked to issues surrounding pension benefits. She urged the administration to conduct a fair and transparent investigation and bring the truth before the people of Odisha.

Reacting to reports surrounding the incident, Sahu said the tragic death of a helpless mother has raised serious questions about the delivery of social security pension benefits. She said it is deeply concerning if poor and vulnerable people are forced to run from pillar to post to access welfare schemes meant for their support.

Expressing her condolences to the bereaved family, Sahu prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the family to bear the irreparable loss.

She also demanded an impartial inquiry into the incident and called upon the administration to place all facts before the people of Odisha in a transparent manner.
