NDA sweeping Bihar; JD(U), BJP way ahead of RJD, Congress losing badly

Date:

Patna: The NDA is heading for a clear and comfortable victory in Bihar, with early counting trends showing the alliance far ahead of the Opposition. As of the latest update, the BJP is leading in 85 seats, while its ally JD(U) is ahead in 75 seats, giving the coalition a strong combined lead across the state.

On the Opposition side, the RJD is leading in 36 seats, and the Congress in just 6, indicating a weak performance by the Mahagathbandhan. The results so far suggest that the Opposition has failed to make a significant impact despite its aggressive campaign.

Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) is also performing well within the NDA bloc, leading in 22 of the 28 seats it contested. Smaller parties are making limited gains, with CPI(ML) (Liberation) ahead in 7 seats, AIMIM in 3, and HAMS in 4. Other parties like CPI(M), BSP, RLM and VIP have leads in one or two seats each.

The current trends reinforce the strong position of the NDA, with Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) and the BJP maintaining a solid lead across most regions. If the numbers remain stable through later rounds, the ruling alliance appears set to return to power with a comfortable majority, while the Opposition is facing significant losses across the state.
