India is witnessing a growing cooking gas crisis affecting both domestic consumers, institutions and commercial establishments including hotels & restaurants.

Reports from several cities indicate irregular supply of LPG cylinders, leaving households and small businesses struggling to manage daily cooking needs.

The situation has been compounded by a new 25-day lock-in period booking rule introduced by oil marketing companies, which is said to be aimed at preventing hoarding and panic buying.
