After getting marginalised further on the public arena, former BJD strategist Pyari Mohan Mohapatra has finally formed a political party on the name of Odisha Janmorcha Party this morning. While launching the political outfit, Pyari expressed confidence that his party would win 80-85 seats in the coming Assembly elections in Odisha.
Although the Odisha Janmorcha was founded long ago and carried out its functions in the last few months, now it has got the shape of a political party. Pyari Mohapatra was unanimously elected as the President of the party, while Jagneswar Babu was appointed as the General Secretary. Mr. Rajendra Singh was appointed as the Vice President, while Dr. Sarat Mishra is the Treasurer of the party.
“We want to establish a poverty-free, corruption-free, liquor-free and fearless Odisha by ousting Naveen Patnaik, who has been ruling the state for over 13 years. The Odidha Janmorcha Party will hold its first meeting in Rourkela on April 17. We are the only alternative to Naveen Patnaik,” said Pyari Mohan Mohapatra. Pyari refused to reveal his plans of contesting the polls.
