Bhubaneswar Fights Air Pollution With New Technology

Date:

TNI bureau: Bhubaneswar has installed revolutionary WARO C6 devices across the city to combat rising air pollution. The initiative of Bhubaneswar towards clean air is a commendable one as the city has started using “Filterless Dust and Smoke Capturing Devices” at important places within the city. The objective of this innovative step is to combat the menace of pollution which is increasingly becoming a problem in cities. In order to deal with pollution, an amazing technology called WARO C6 has been introduced which can be used to protect our environment as an “artificial lung”.

While traditional systems for purifying the air have filters and require chemicals and electricity, the working process of WARO C6 system is different as it uses no filter and no chemicals. Moreover, the energy requirement of the system is only 14 volts and solar energy is sufficient to run this device 24 hours a day. It has been designed by Prithvi Singh who is a physics graduate and worked on this project for several years. This machine captures particulates such as PM2.5 and PM10 and also toxic gases such as CO2, CO, SO2, and NO2. In addition to providing an efficient method of air purification, the system is based on a concept of circular economy.

But these devices are not a replacement for nature. Trees will always remain essential part of our environment. These devices have been made for congested areas where air quality frequently reaches unhealthy levels. As Bhubaneswar continues to grow, these eco-friendly technologies makes a positive shift in how we manage our city’s health.
