Odisha: Maoist killed in Encounter

TNI Bureau: The security forces gunned down a Maoist leader in an encounter in Odisha’s Koraput district. The red rebel was identified as Teli Kadraka. He was working as an area commander of Jhanjabati Area Organising Committee of Maoists.

The Maoist was killed in the gun battle with the jawans of Special Operation Group (SOG) and police in Badamatura forest of Bandhugaon area on Sunday evening.

Police have seized a gun, some ammunition and Naxal materials from the encounter area.

Police said that other members of the Maoist group managed escape when the encounter took place.
