TNI Bureau: In a shocking development, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Odisha Crime Branch in its affidavit today said that Pari was raped before being killed.

The SIT today informed the Orissa High Court that the five-year-old Pari was sexually assaulted before being brutally murdered. It was confirmed from the samples collected from her clothes.
Latest reports suggest that the accused has been identified. Further details are awaited.
Pari was kidnapped and murdered at Jadupur village in Nayagarh in July 2020. Her body parts, stashed in a sack, were dumped at the backyards of her house 10 days later, on July 23.
After a massive outrage on this issue, CM Naveen Patnaik had ordered Court-monitored SIT probe led by IPS Arun Bothra.
