Kalinga TV organises Mini-Marathon in Bhubaneswar

Kalinga TVA Mini-Marathon was organized by Kalinga TV 24×7 News Channel in Bhubaneswar along with all Districts Headquarters of Odisha for a noble cause to create awareness on education on 31st January, 2016. People from different walks of life irrespective of castes, creed, religion, age and gender participated in the mini marathon. The theme of the marathon was ‘EDUCATION FOR ALL’.

The marathon started from 7th Battalion Ground in Bhubaneswar and the ended at KIIT University Stadium. As many as 20 thousand people including intellectuals, politicians, cine stars, youths, players, students and staff of KIIT & KISS participated in the marathon. As many as 50 thousand people across Odisha took part in the mini marathon held in 34 towns including district head quarters.

In Bhubaneswar Dr. Prasanna Patasani, MP; Priyadarshi Mishra, MLA; Manoranjan Panigrahi, Secretary, I & PR, Govt. of Odisha; Rabi Behera, State President, Samajwadi Party; Dr. Bimalendu Mohanty, Former VC, Utkal University of Culture; Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, Kalinga TV; Cine star, Sabyasachi, Archita, Gargi, Pupinder, Samares, Hadu, Banamali; Prof. P P Mathur, VC, KIIT University; Himanshu Khuta, MD, Kalinga TV; Soumyajit Patnaik, Chief Editor were present and flag off the run, while in valedictory, Dr. Damodar Rout, Minister, Excise and Cooperation; Sanjay Das Burma, Minister, Food and civil supplies and Consumer affairs, Technical Education and training; Dr. P. K. Patsani, MP; Priyadarshi Mishra and Akash Das Nayak, MLA; Industrialist Prabodh Mohanty; Dr. Sasmitarani Samanta, Registrar, KIIT University were present and address the participants. Though Dr. Samanta has been working for education through KIIT & KISS in Odisha, it is a unique initiative through Kalinga TV.
