Adelaide Test: India take crucial 1st innings lead

TNI Bureau:  Team India bounced back in the first Test match at Adelaide by dismissing Australia for 191 in the first inning, thus taking a crucial 53-run lead.

For Australia, Labuschagne scored 47, while Tim Paine remained unbeaten on 73. For India, Ashwin took 4 wickets. Umesh Yadav got 3 wickets and Jasprit Bumrah scalped two.

In the second innings, India lost Prithvi Shaw early yet again. He scored just 4. India finished Day 2 at 9/1.

Earlier, India bowled out for 244 in the first innings. Pujara (43), Kohli (74), Rahane (42) were the top scorers. For Australia, Starc took 4 wickets while Cummins took 3.

Day 3 will decide the course of the game. India will be looking forward to extend the lead to 250+ to have a bright chance of winning the match.
