Billionaire Resort Owner gunned down in Delhi

A resort owner in South Delhi’s Rajokri area was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Tuesday morning. Deepak Bhardwaj, the owner of the resort, was the richest Lok Sabha candidate in 2009. He had contested the poll for Bahujan Samaj Party.

Bhardwaj was gunned down at around 9.15 am. Police said that two persons had entered his farmhouse in a car for booking the resort for an event. They had argument with the owner and attacked him. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead.

Bhardwaj was one of the richest candidates in the 2009 Lok Sabha polls. He had declared assets of over Rs 600 crore.
