Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM) chief Pyarimohan Mohapatra dragged the attention of media bringing another allegation against Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik over the violation of election code of conduct during his visit to Nuapada district.
While visiting Khariar yesterday as the Chief Guest of Utkal Yadav Mahasabha, the CM had inaugurated a 100 bedded hostel, which was a gross violation of the code of conduct when the election process for the Nuapada NAC is on, Pyari alleged. Also the use of helicopter officially to the district by Naveen was again a violation of code of conduct, he added.
Pyari alleged that Naveen’s attendance at Utkal Yadav Mahasabha meeting was intended to attract the Yadav votes in Nuapada NAC. He has requested the State Election Commissioner Ajit Tripathy to postpone the date of polls citing the action by Naveen will create influence on the voters.
He has appealed the Commissioner to take exemplary action against Naveen for violating election code of conduct to maintain fairness of the poll.
