Maha Kumbh: One Killed, Two Injured in Fire

TNI Bureau: Another tragedy was reported at Maha Kumbh mela less than a week after stampede at the Allahabad railway station. One was killed and two others were injured when a fire broke out when lakhs of pilgrims had gathered for ‘Shahi Snan’ on the occasion of Basant Panchami.

The victim is still unidentified. He was burnt in the fire in sector 4 of Kumbh Mela area early this morning.

The fire was brought under control. Officials said that the fire was caused by a short circuit. The person, who was killed, was perhaps sleeping when the fire broke out. He could not run out of his tent and was burnt.

This is the second mishap at the ongoing Kumbh mela. Earlier, 37 people were dead in the stampede at Allahabad railway station on Sunday.
