Apollo – OTTET Launches Tele Health Service in Odisha

By Hemanta Pande: In a press meet at Bhubaneswar today, Apollo Hospital announces its collaboration with OTTET to introduce Telemedicine Service in Odisha.

The joint venture of Telemedicine is designed to deliver Tele consultation Service at the doorsteps of the patients across the state.  It will bridge the gap between the demand and accessibility of health service in the state. In addition, it will reduce patient’s travel cost and minimize life risk.

OTTET( Odisha Trust for Technology  Education and Training ) takes the lead in using modern ICT platform and Telemedicine network  to provide Preventive, Curative and emergency services covering every villages of the state.

Enhancing specialty care services to the remote and inaccessible population , Apollo’s expertise will offer various services like Primary Tele consultations, Tele radiology, Tele ECG, and Tele Health Education services particularly in the outbreak of any endemics in rural areas.

The road map for the proposed project is to have OTTET- Apollo TeleClinics covering all the 314 blocks by 31st March, 2013.

In fine, it is remain to see how Apollo will accommodate its specialists and expertise to the needy in its busy set up.
