Odisha: Senior Journalist Jimuta Mangaraj dies in Road Mishap

TNI Bureau: A terrible news for the media fraternity in Odisha. Senior Journalist and Editor of ‘Neta’, Jimuta Managaraj died in a road mishap near Janla, Khordha. He was 64.

Jimuta Mangaraj’s Scooty was hit by an unidentified heavy vehicle, suggest the initial reports. It was a terrible accident. His identity was revealed from the ID-Card. He was rushed to the AIIMS immediately, but was declared brought dead.

Jimuta Mangaraj was a Mentor for many Journalists in the State. He was a Freelance Journalist and was writing for many publications. He had achieved 3 PhD degrees and wrote several books too.

Jimuta Mangaraj is survived by a son and daughter. His wife Jyotsna Routray (Journalist & Writer) had passed away 8 years ago. Senior journalists in Odisha, including Navin Das (Editor, Nirbhaya Daily) and Pradyumna Satpathy (Subarta) have condoled his shocking demise.
