TNI Bureau: SRK-Katrina-Anushka starrer “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” (JTHJ) has collected Rs 75 crore in the opening five days, but failed to beat Salman Khan’s “Ek Tha Tiger”, which crossed Rs 100 crore mark in as many days.

However, this is the highest-ever collection for any film released on Diwali. JTHJ was released on 2500+ screens on November 13. The movie collected more overseas, it has been reported.

The collections on Saturday were hit due to Balasaheb Thackeray’s demise. On Sunday, all theatres in Mumbai and parts of Maharashtra remain closed. Also, most people in India have glued to their TV sets to see Thackeray’s funeral procession. That could affect the collections of JTHJ further.
