TNI Bureau:  Based on the recommendations of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), former Test cricketer Chetan Sharma has been appointed as the Chairman of the Senior Selection Committee.

Former Indian pacers Abey Kuruvilla and Debashish Mohanty have been appointed as the Members. They will join two other members – Sunil Joshi and Harvinder Singh.

The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising Madan Lal, Rudra Pratap Singh and Sulakshana Naik met virtually to select three members of the All-India Senior Selection Committee (Men).

Debashish Mohanty, who hails from Odisha, had played two Tests and ,45 ODIs from 1997 to 2001. He has taken 4 wickets in Tests and 57 wickets in ODI with a career best of 4/78 in Tests and 4/56 in ODIs.
