BDA to implement Odisha’s first-ever Town Planning Scheme

TNI Bureau:  The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) is all set to implement the State’s first-ever Town Planning Scheme (TPS) to bring well planned and sustainable urban development in the Bhubaneswar Development Plan Area.

With this scheme, BDA will adopt the land pooling method instead of land acquisition for infrastructure development in Bhubaneswar and its outskirts.

The Housing and Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena today handed over the Record of Rights to eleven land owners of Sahajpur village.

In the first phase, 358 numbers of Record of Rights will be distributed to the land owners of Sahajpur village.

Under the the Town Planning Scheme, the landowner usually gets a percentage of his holding back in rectangular shape nearby his or her original holding.
