Kejriwal to surrender IAC Tag to Anna Hazare

Date:

TNI Bureau: On the day when Anna Hazare inaugurated his new office at Sarvodaya Enclave in New Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal assured everyone that he would forego the ‘India Against Corruption’ (IAC) tag and launch a new political outfit on November 26.

Team Anna had staked its claim for IAC name, as Anna Hazare had formed it. Since Arvind Kejriwal and his aides had left Team Anna, so it was quite clear they had to forego the claim on the name.

“Anna is too dear to us. I have deepest respects for him. After launch of our party on November 26, we will not use IAC name,” Kejriwal tweeted.

Another controversy was created today, when the Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of south Delhi’s Sarvodaya Enclave claimed that the house where Anna’s new office would function, belongs to a Congress worker. They questioned Team Anna’s decision of taking the house of a political person on rent.

However, Team Anna downplayed it, saying the house owner’s political affiliation has nothing to do with the rented office. Team Anna would pay Rs 50,000 per month towards rent.
