The adult comedy, ‘Grand Masti’ has stunned the critics to join the Rs 100 crore club. “And it’s a century… ‘Grand Masti’ crosses Rs.100 crore net mark in India. First ‘Adults’ film to attain this status,” tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
Even actor Aftab Shivadasani, who played an important role in the movie, tweeted, “And history is made – the first adult film to make Rs.100 crores! Feeling elated to be a part of history! Thank you all.”

The ‘Grand Masti’ features Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shidasani, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonalee Kulkarni, Kainaat Arora, Maryam Zakaria, Manjari Phadnis, Karishma Tanna and Bruna Abdullah. Although critics slammed the movie with bad review, it went well with the viewers and made history.
Made on a budget of Rs 36 crore, ‘Grand Masti’ became the fourth film after ‘Çhennai Express’, ‘Ýeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Race 2′ to cross the Rs 100 crore club.
