TNI Bureau: India on Thursday recorded 9,996 new COVID-19 cases & 357 fatalities, taking the total number of cases to 2,86,579, came a step closer to the novel coronavirus tally of fourth worst-affected country, the UK.

Similarly, Odisha reported 136 new cases taking the total tally in the state to 3,386. Of the 136 new cases, 134 were detected from quarantine centre and 2 were local contacts.
A 38-year-old COVID-19 positive woman passed away due to septic shock with multi-organ failure, bringing the death toll in the State to 9.
