64-year-old man clears NEET, joins MBBS in Odisha

TNI Bureau:  Proving that learning has no age limits, a 64 year old retired bank manager, recently qualified the NEET examinations to get enrolled into the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) Medical College in Burla for MBBS courses.

A resident of Attabira in Bargarh district, Jaya Kishore Pradhan was posted in the main branch of the State Bank of India in Bargarh as a field officer before his retirement in 2016.

Pradhan said he wishes to provide free medical treatment to the poor after completing the MBBS degree.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had allowed medical aspiring candidates above the age of 25 years to appear in the NEET UG 2019 exam.
