11 Odisha MLAs Cross-Voted in Rajya Sabha Polls

TNI Bureau: At least 11 MLAs, including 2 suspended MLAs voted against their party candidates, it’s believed. They included 6 from BJD, 3 from Congress and 2 suspended BJD MLAs – Arvind Mohapatra and Sanatan Mahakud.

The other six BJD MLAs who voted against the party candidate, included Souvic Biswal, Debi Ranjan Tripathy, Subasini Jena, Naba Kishor Mallik, Chakramani Kanhar, and Ramakanta Bhoi.

The three Congress MLAs who defied the party, included Ramesh Jena, Sofia Firdous and Dasarathi Gomango.

With this, BJP is all set to win 3 out of 4 Rajya Sabha seats. Manmohan Samal, Sujeet Kumar and Dilip Ray will be declared winners soon.
