TNI Bureau: In protest against the alleged police excess outside the Odisha Assembly yesterday, the block grant teachers have launched a massive agitation today by gheraoing the MLA residences and blocked the roads to Assembly.

The teachers have staged a sit-in protest on all roads linked to residences of the MLAs. Even Deputy Speaker Sudama Marandi could not reach the assembly due to the blockade. Many other MLAs too failed reach the Assembly today.
The teachers demanded stern action against the policemen who lobbed teargas shells at the teachers and later resorted to lathicharge. Around 42 people, including 12 policemen were injured in the clashes at Lower PMG yesterday.
