TNI Bureau: In a big development yesterday, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj revealed BJP’s real game plan for 2014 polls, as she openly endorsed Narendra Modi’s candidature for the post of Prime Minister. While addressing an election rally at Vadodara, Swaraj said Modi is a competent and proper leader to be the Prime Minister of India.

This is the first time Sushma Swaraj has backed Narendra Modi as the PM. Earlier, BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu had also hailed Modi as a strong candidate to be the PM of the country. Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley had hinted that the entire BJP leadership is strongly behind Narendra Modi.

The Gujarat Polls 2012 are said to be an acid test for Narendra Modi and the BJP. If Modi routs the Congress and give the party its worst defeat in the last 50 years, as he claimed, his stature in national politics will increase manifold.
