TNI Bureau: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll has commenced in Odisha. Citizens are advised to check their own names, as well as the names of their father or grandfather, in the 2002 voter list and report any discrepancies to their nearest Booth Level Officer (BLO). The 2002 voter list has been set as the baseline for the current revision process. Voters are encouraged to use the option “Search your name in last SIR (2002)” to verify their details and ensure accurate inclusion in the updated electoral roll.
The Chief Electoral Officer, Odisha, has urged citizens to come together to ensure the smooth and effective implementation of the SIR. In a post on X, the CEO Odisha called on voters to support Booth Level Officers (BLOs) through voter mapping to make the process simpler and more efficient.
For more information, citizens can call the Voter Helpline Number 1950, visit voters.eci.gov.in or download the ECINet App and use the “Book a Call with BLO” option to connect directly with their Booth Level Officer.
