TNI Bureau: In a significant development in the Soumya Ranjan lynching row, the Odisha Government has suspended senior IPS officer Dayal Gangwar. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi ordered the suspension of Gangwar, who was serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Home Department.

Gangwar had recently come under controversy in connection with the Balianta Soumya Ranjan lynching case. The state government’s decision to place him under suspension comes amid continued attention on the case and its handling.
