TNI Bureau: Rayagada gangrape victim, who suffered burn injuries after attempting suicide, was admitted to Care Hopsital in Vizag. She was denied admission to Seven Hills hospital where she could have received better treatment.

The victim was shifted to Vizag after her condition remained critical. She had attempted suicide out of trauma and pain after she was gangraped by a few people while returning home alone on January 2 after completing her work at a Xerox shop.

The incident occurred at a time when people are demanding the safety for women in the country after the brutal gangrape of 23-year-old para medical student, who died after battling for life on December 29.
