Constable Tomar’s death: HC Notice to Centre, Delhi Govt

The Delhi High Court issued notices to the Home Ministry and the Delhi government asking Delhi police to file a status report on the probe into the death of Constable Subhash Tomar, who was allegedly attacked by 8 protesters during anti-rape demonstration at India Gate.

Justice G P Mittal asked Delgi police to submit the report within a week after the accused requested the court for quashing the FIR lodged on December 23.

Police have registered an FIR against 8 people under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code after Tomar died at a hospital.
