New Zealand tops the points table in Group A with 3 points. But, Australia are in danger of elimination with just one point from two games. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted 243/8 in 50 overs. Matthew Wade (29), George Bailey (55), Adam Voges (71), Mitchell Marsh (22) and Glenn Maxwell (29*) were the top contributors. Mitchell McClenaghan took four wickets for New Zealand. Nathan McCullum took two wickets.
New Zealand were 51/2 in 15 overs when rain stopped play. Clint McKay was on fire, as he took two wickets. After a series of inspections, the umpires finally called off the game.
