He sought resignation of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, saying he is indulged in illegal activities to retain power. As the CM in charge of Home Department, he should resign, taking moral responsibility, said Pyari.

Pyari Mohapatra further claimed that telephones of over 4,000 people have been tapped since March 2012. Meanwhile, the BJD rubbished the allegations and said that phone tapping was done only for criminal investigation in accordance with the law. The party denied the claims that phone tapping was done for political manipulations.
