Petrol Prices cut by Re 1 Per Litre

Petrol-Price-HikeJust on the eve of assembly polls in Maharashtra and Haryana, the petrol prices were slashed by Re 1 per litre – 5th reduction in petrol prices in the last three months. The new prices will take effect from midnight tonight. Along with VAT, the total reduction would be Rs 1.21-Rs 1.27 per litre.

In Delhi, the petrol will be available at Rs 66.65 per litre. Mumbai will get petrol at Rs 74.46. In Kolkata and Chennai, the petrol prices will be revised to Rs 74.21 and Rs 69.59 respectively. In Bhubaneswar, it will be available at around Rs 67 per litre.

The reduction in petrol prices has been attributed to decline in global crude prices, which touched $88 per barrel and may continue to fall further in the next two weeks.
