TNI Bureau: Orissa High Court Chief Justice V. Gopala Gowda has been elevated as a Judge of the Supreme Court. He had been appointed as the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court on March 25, 2010. He was the judge of High Court of Karnataka.

According to a notification of Union Law Ministry, the senior judge of the high court Justice Pradip Kumar Mohanty will be appointed as the acting Chief Justice of Orissa High Court till the appointment of the new Chief Justice.
