TNI Bureau: In a proud achievement for Odisha, student Bhavesh Patra has topped the state in JEE Main 2026 Session–1, the results of which were declared by the National Testing Agency. He is among the 12 candidates nationwide to secure a perfect 100th percentile and has become the first Odia student to achieve this milestone in JEE (Main).
Speaking to Odisha TV, Bhavesh said the success was the result of consistent hard work. He studied around 10 hours daily and advised aspirants to focus on clear targets rather than counting study hours. He stressed the importance of covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics every day and credited his teachers and parents for their support.
Bhavesh also revealed that he avoided using mobile phones during Classes 11 and 12 to prevent distractions, noting that social media can hinder serious preparation. He is now preparing for JEE Advanced by solving previous years’ question papers and aims to achieve similar success to secure admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology.
Advising fellow aspirants, he emphasised that quality learning is more important than long study hours, adding that even 5–6 hours of focused study can lead to success.
