Odisha: Retirement age of Doctors raised to 65

Odisha government has increased the retirement age of doctors working in the state-run medical colleges from 60 to 65. The proposal was given a nod by the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday.

As per the order, the doctors working at three medical colleges – SCB medical college in Cuttack, VSS medical college in Sambalpur and MKCG medical college in Berhampur – will now retire at the age of 65. The decision will bring cheer for the doctors, who are about to retire this year.
